At Vitrolife Group we are around 1.100 colleagues in more than 25 countries, working to achieve our vision to fulfil the dream of having a healthy baby. Together we develop, produce and market advanced, effective, and safe products and services for assisted reproduction (IVF). We support customers worldwide – always with sustainability in mind. Based on science and advanced research capabilities, our aim is to deliver products and services for the excellence in the entire fertility journey. We were founded 1994 in Gothenburg, Sweden, and this is where our head office is located. We are a public company, traded at the stock exchange in Stockholm.
Our organisation consists of three Business Areas: Consumables, Technologies and Genetic Services. Our Business Areas are responsible for developing and producing products and services for fertility treatments. Our scientific legacy is strong and our research capabilities, in-house and as well through close collaboration with leading researchers in our field, is well recognized. While we thrive on innovative development of products and services, we are constantly considering the possibility of acquiring companies or product areas that will complement our own development. In November 2021, Vitrolife acquired Igenomix, a world leading company specialized in genetic testing, and we welcomed more than 700 new colleagues to the Vitrolife Group. By combining Igenomix’s portfolio of reproductive genetic testing services with Vitrolife’s best-in-class IVF medical device portfolio, we create a global leader in reproductive health, being able to support clinics and patients even better across the fertility journey. Today, we have integrated Igenomix fully into the Vitrolife Group, and it is principally making up the Business Area Genetic Services.
Besides the three Business Areas, we have three Group Functions for business and support. First, a central Sales & Marketing organisation which organises sales and customer services globally on all continents. Collaborating in geographic market regions, EMEIA (Europe, Middle East, India and Africa), Asia, Japan and the Pacific, and the Americas we are more relevant than ever as a business partner to our customers. Marketing and sales are directed towards clinics, both public and private sector, both directly and in cooperation with local distributors. The Group has two additional global business support functions: Human Resources & Sustainability, and as well Finance, IT & Legal.
