Vitrolife’s business contributes to helping people to fulfil their dream of becoming parents. We are close to 450 colleagues who develop, produce and market advanced, effective and safe products and systems for assisted reproduction (IVF). Read more about the IVF Journey here.
Our headoffice is based in Gothenburg, Sweden and Gothenburg is also one of our main production sites. We also have production in Denver and San Diego in the US and Aarhus in Denmark, and local offices in Australia, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, China and the UK.
Our organisation consists of two business areas, Consumables and Technology who develops and produces products for fertility treatments. While research is largely carried out through close collaboration with leading researchers in the area, product development is carried out on the basis of market need and at Vitrolife we are constantly considering the possibility of acquiring companies or product areas that will complement our own product development. In November 2021, Vitrolife acquired Igenomix, a world leading company specialized in genetic testing, and we welcomed more than 700 new colleagues to the Vitrolife Group. By combining Igenomix’s portfolio of reproductive genetic testing services with Vitrolife’s best-in-class IVF device portfolio, we create a global leader in reproductive health, being able to support clinics and patients even better across the fertility journey. Besides the business areas, we have a central sales and marketing organisation which organises sales and customer service globally on all continents. There are four geographic market regions; EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), Asia, Japan and the Pacific, and the Americas. Marketing and sales are directed at these clinics, both public and private sector, both directly and in cooperation with local distributors. In addition, together with Igenomix, we have Group common support functions consisting of Human Resources, Sustainability, Research, Finance, Legal and Corporate strategy.
